ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्। उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात्॥

The Mantra and Its Meaning
"Om. We worship the three-eyed one, who is fragrant and nourishes all. May he liberate us from death for the sake of immortality, just as a cucumber is severed from its vine."
The mantra seeks liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. It's a prayer to Lord Shiva to grant freedom from disease, fear, and the limitations of mortality.

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is found in the Rigveda (7.59.12). Legend says that Rishi Markandeya, who was destined to die young, recited this mantra with unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva and was granted immortality.

- How: Chant with sincere devotion and a pure heart. Focus on Lord Shiva and visualize the healing energy flowing through you. Use a mala for counting repetitions.
- When: Chant during times of illness, fear, or hardship. It can also be chanted regularly for overall well-being and protection. Mondays are considered auspicious for Shiva.
