During the Mahabharata war, Gandhari, the mother of the Kauravas, witnessed the death of all her sons. In her grief and rage, she cursed Krishna, holding him responsible for the destruction of her family. She prophesied that Krishna's own clan, the Yadavas, would also meet a tragic end.
